So around a year ago some of you may recall that Elliot poked his little pointer into the gush that is my abdominal region and snidely stated:"Uh oh, Mommy."
Gee thanks, kid. But, I suppose he just didn't quite have the vocabulary at that point to say "Hey Mommy, maybe you should start doing some more crunches."
Well, he's back at it. At least for 9 months there I had the excuse that "there's a baby in Mommy's tummy" as it steadily grew. But here I am, 6 weeks postpartum, and although I've lost some weight, my midsection has apparently not quite snapped back to its former self yet. That and I guess the way I sit tends to displace the gush into an unforgiving formation. Last night, Elliot asked:
"What's in your tummy now, Mommy?"
"Nothing."
And at that he shot me a look as if to imply I was lying.
In the end, I decided to just laugh it off and make a graphic about it. I know it's quite rudimentary, but I reinstalled Windows recently and still have to put all my fonts back on- and I just don't have the patience to do that or make a fancy graphic at the moment. But, you get the picture. :)
So, that's it. My ever so observant middle child. Give him one more year and he'll be asking: "Mommy, have you called Jenny yet?"
