It never fails...

Every year I get SO excited to finally see little green buds on the trees. In fact, the plethora of weeping willows on the adjacent property and in the way back of our property are finally awash with true spring green. But it seems that every year for the last several years, as soon as the buds all pop out, we get a WICKED wind/rain storm that knocks many of the buds off. Right now I'm listening to a ferocious storm outside my window, and it's been this way all afternoon, evening and night. I know it's going to be so disappointing when I get up tomorrow to see that the branches that were all filled with precious little buds this morning are now barren. I just hate being so close and then having it all dashed. Ah well, maybe a second batch of buds will come out soon. We've been having an awful lot of our share of April Showers, hopefully with our gorgeous Friday/Saturday/Sunday to come the sun will bring some spring beauty. The boys have a party on Saturday that was rained out 2 weeks ago, so it will be nice to have such a gorgeous day for them to enjoy.
