So I'm a big Price is Right fan from way back. And I've recently started flipping it on in the background during the day for a little mindless entertainment and to fill my daily quota for flashing lights and beeping noises. But apparently Elliot is bored with it and just said "Mom, I don't want to watch Chance of Prizes anymore."
Well, at least he grasps the premise of the game.

Back and inspired...
Hello all!
Well, well, well - where has the time gone? Yet another month long lapse between posts. Many apologies. And still the time has gone on another front as well. I turned 29 last month and it suddenly hit me (who has NEVER been concerned with age) that I'm going to be 30 next year. That has never had quite the ominous feeling before that I'm having about it now. I suddenly really don't like the idea. But, I'll deal with it when it happens. In the meantime, I've started reflecting on things I'd like to get done before I turn 30. I might start compiling a list of some things. But first and foremost, I came up with an idea - a project. I came up with this idea several weeks ago but only just decided to start acting on it today. I guess the official inspiration came from two places 1) we saw Julie and Julia last night, about a woman turning 30 who decides to start a blog and document cooking her way through Julia Child's cookbook for a year... and 2) my pants, which have started laughing at me.
So, I present you with - Brannon's 30 by 30! Yes, I am going to do my very best to drop 30 pounds by the time I turn 30. I have a solid (or not so solid, as it were) 30 pounds to lose - that would get me to my ideal weight and life would be good. This will not be easy, especially entering the cool weather months -but I am really going to try. I just rejoined Weight Watchers and hopefully with the kids going back to school I'll get into more of a regimen as opposed to the free-for-all that kind of takes over my life during the summer.
I'll keep you all posted on my progress.
In news NOT related to me, Riley AND Elliot start school tomorrow! Riley starts 1st Grade and Elliot starts preschool. This should be mildly chaotic, but I'm looking forward to it. I can't believe Riley will be gone essentially from 8:30-4. Not that I couldn't use the break, but it's kind of sad in a way. Elliot goes for 3 half days, M/W/F. I'm interested to see how Elliot reacts to being dropped off at school tomorrow, he is SO attached, and I could easily see him freaking out when I go to leave. But, I also think it will be possible that he will be okay and will go happily into school.
So, Liam's 15 month checkup is today - then after that it is home and GET READY FOR TOMORROW! I have a feeling a lot of pep talks are in order. I will update more as it transpires tomorrow!!
